North County Shooting Center is excited to introduce our new CCW: Next Steps Class, designed for concealed carry permit holders who want to continue developing their skills, build confidence, and become more comfortable safely handling and carrying their concealed firearm.
Whether you've recently received your CCW permit or have been carrying for years, continuing your training is an important part of responsible firearm ownership.
Our next CCW: Next Steps Class takes place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at North County Shooting Center in San Marcos, CA.
Who Is This Class For?
Obtaining your CCW permit is an important milestone, but your training shouldn't end there!
Our CCW: Next Steps Class is designed for individuals who already have their concealed carry permits and want to continue improving their firearm handling skills in a structured, safety-focused environment.
This class is particularly beneficial for:
New CCW permit holders who want additional hands-on experience and greater confidence handling their concealed carry firearm.
Experienced CCW holders who want to refresh their skills, reinforce safe handling practices, and continue developing their proficiency.
Individuals seeking additional training in safely drawing from a holster, controlled firing, reloading, and handling common firearm malfunctions.
Whether you're new to concealed carry or looking to build upon your existing experience, this class provides an opportunity to continue your training under professional instruction.
What Will You Learn?
Our CCW: Next Steps Class builds upon your existing firearm knowledge with an emphasis on safe handling, accuracy, and practical range experience.
During this three-hour training session, participants will work with an instructor on several important skills, including:
Safe Holster Work
Develop greater familiarity with safely drawing your firearm from its holster and returning it to the holster while maintaining proper firearm handling and safety practices.
Accuracy and Controlled Firing
Continue developing your accuracy and consistency through structured range exercises, including multiple strings of fire and controlled shooting drills.
Reloading and Malfunction Management
Gain additional experience identifying and addressing common handgun malfunctions while reinforcing proper firearm handling and reloading techniques.
Situational Awareness and Decision-Making
The class also introduces shoot/don't-shoot concepts, emphasizing responsible decision-making and firearm safety.
Additional Practical Training
Participants will also work on support-hand shooting and complete a qualification course of fire as part of the class curriculum.
